THE STAFFORD METHOD

JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT PATHWAY

Building complete athletes from their very first swing. Our progressive curriculum ensures young players learn proper biomechanics and tactical awareness at a natural, confidence-building pace.

FOUNDATIONS: RED & ORANGE BALL

Ages 5–10

Designed as the optimal entry point for young athletes, this stage utilizes scaled 36-foot courts and appropriately sized equipment to accelerate learning. We focus heavily on developing foundational hand-eye coordination, athletic movement, and core stroke mechanics.

Through a dynamic blend of engaging, sport-specific exercises, students learn to construct points early on, bridging the gap between having fun and building true athletic fundamentals.

ADVANCEMENT: ORANGE & GREEN BALL

Ages 9–11+

As players advance to the 60-foot court, training intensifies to refine stroke mechanics and apply higher-level fundamentals. While continuing to build overall physical coordination, this stage introduces advanced competitive strategy and structured match play.

Under the guidance of our elite coaching staff, students transition from foundational learning into true tactical development, equipping them with the exact skills needed to step into the competitive tournament arena.

PRE-TOURNAMENT: GREEN & YELLOW BALL

Ages 11+

The final step before entering our Competitive Development program. Here, athletes transition to full-court play with standard yellow balls. We focus on shot selection, court positioning, and building the mental endurance required for full-length matches.

Students at this stage are treated as young professionals, learning how to analyze their own game, scout opponents, and prepare for the demands of Sectional and National tournament travel.
